A percentage increase tells you how much a value has grown compared to its original amount.

% Increase = ((New - Original) รท Original) ร— 100

Example: Price increased from $50 to $65

Find the difference: 65 - 50 = 15

Divide by original: 15 รท 50 = 0.3

Multiply by 100: 0.3 ร— 100 = 30% increase
